Commercial Tutoring License Terms

- 5–9 tutors: $600/tutor/year

1. One license per tutor
Each Commercial Tutoring License is assigned to one individual tutor. If multiple tutors, instructors, employees, or contractors within an organization use Stellar Teacher resources, each individual must have their own active Commercial Tutoring License.
2. Use with paying tutoring clients is permitted
The licensed tutor may use Stellar Teacher resources when providing paid tutoring or instructional services to students actively working with that tutor.
3. Definition of a tutoring student
For purposes of this license, a tutoring student is an individual receiving direct instructional services from the licensed tutor. The Commercial Tutoring License is intended for direct tutor-to-student instruction and does not permit large-scale distribution of Stellar Teacher resources through memberships, subscription programs, self-paced courses, resource libraries, tutoring marketplaces, or other one-to-many commercial offerings.
4. Student copies are permitted
The licensed tutor may print or provide copies of individual resources to students for use as part of their tutoring services. Students may keep completed or assigned materials for their own personal educational use.
5. Digital use must be limited to individual clients
Resources may be shared digitally with current tutoring students only when access is private and limited to those students. Resources may not be posted publicly online or uploaded to a platform, shared drive, LMS, or resource library accessible by other tutors, employees, families, or the general public.
6. No sharing between tutors
Resources may not be shared with other tutors, teachers, employees, contractors, or instructors who do not have their own Commercial Tutoring License. This includes sharing files through email, Google Drive, Dropbox, company servers, LMS platforms, or other digital storage systems.
7. Resources may not be resold
Stellar Teacher resources, whether original or modified, may not be sold, sublicensed, rented, redistributed, or offered as standalone materials to clients or other individuals.
8. Resources may not be incorporated into products for sale
The Commercial Tutoring License does not permit Stellar Teacher resources to be included in a curriculum, workbook, course, membership, resource library, tutoring package, digital product, or other product that is sold or distributed by the license holder or tutoring company.
Charging a student for tutoring services that use Stellar Teacher resources is permitted. Charging a customer for access to Stellar Teacher resources themselves is not permitted.
9. Modification does not transfer ownership
The licensed tutor may make reasonable instructional modifications for individual students, such as adjusting directions, selecting portions of a resource, or adapting an activity to meet a student's instructional needs. Modifying a Stellar Teacher resource does not give the license holder ownership of the original or modified material or the right to distribute or sell it.
10. Stellar Teacher materials remain the intellectual property of The Stellar Teacher Company
Purchasing a Commercial Tutoring License grants limited permission to use the resources under the terms of the license. It does not transfer copyright, ownership, resale rights, or other intellectual property rights.
11. Marketing limitations
A tutoring company may state that it uses Stellar Teacher resources as part of its instructional services, but it may not represent Stellar Teacher resources as its own proprietary curriculum or imply that The Stellar Teacher Company endorses, certifies, sponsors, or is affiliated with the tutoring business without written permission.
12. License is active for a defined term
Commercial use is permitted only while the Commercial Tutoring License is active. When the license expires or is canceled, the tutor must discontinue commercial use of Stellar Teacher resources. Materials previously provided to individual students do not need to be retrieved.
13. License seats may be reassigned within an organization
A Commercial Tutoring License is assigned to one tutor at a time. If a licensed tutor leaves the organization or no longer needs access, the organization may request to have the license reassigned to another tutor. A single license may not be used by multiple tutors simultaneously.
14. Account credentials may not be shared
Each licensed tutor must have their own account and login credentials. Usernames and passwords may not be shared among tutors, employees, contractors, or other individuals.
15. Violation of the license may result in termination
The Stellar Teacher Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate access if resources are being used outside the scope of the Commercial Tutoring License. Unauthorized distribution, resale, reproduction, or other commercial use beyond the terms of the license may require additional licensing fees or other remedies.
